St Clare’s College is a Catholic school, educating girls from Year 7 to Year 12. Rich in history, St Clare’s was established in 1884. We honour our Catholic heritage and the teachings of St Clare and St Francis of Assisi.
The College has a collective vision that is committed to future-focused learning. This is complemented by our focus on the ‘knowledge arts’, which consists of learning to learn, critical thinking, collaboration, the skills of inquiry, communication, reasoning, problem-solving and creativity. We believe that these components combine to be integral to a student's success.
We encourage each student to connect with their academic passions and interests, by offering a personalised learning program, delivered in a positive environment that inspires excellence and fosters leadership.
St Clare’s teachers are dynamic educators who approach learning holistically, delivered in our flexible and interactive learning spaces. We provide learning opportunities beyond the classroom, partnering with tertiary institutions, industry and the broader community. The College also provides gifted education and targeted learning programs to cater for students with a wide range of interests and abilities.
St Clare’s College is committed to remaining at the forefront of contemporary pedagogical practices and seeks to ensure that we are positioned as a leading centre of learning excellence. We believe it is our duty and privilege to prepare and equip students for the challenges and opportunities that await them beyond the school gates.

A sense of belonging has long been cultivated at BATA, with diversity, inclusion, and gender equality a critical component of the organization not only internally but also externally: BATA serves diverse communities across the world and particularly in Australia and the team should be representative of that market. But in 2021, they took it a step further and elevated that agenda to a strategic priority.
BATA now consciously focuses on ensuring a gender lens is applied across talent practices. From hiring,
to promoting, to salary reviews and restructuring the organization, it’s all filtered through an equality angle – and the results so far speak for themselves.
Over 2021, there was a marked increase in women in management including five promoted to the most senior roles within BATA and 76% of new hires came from non-FMCG background. Carer and parental leave provisions were revamped, offered from Day 1 for both genders and including cases of adoption and surrogacy as well. Employees who are primary caregivers receive 24 weeks at full pay and 48 weeks at half pay; have access to super paid on paid and unpaid parental leave for both genders; and secondary paternity leave was extended to six weeks from three. There are also separate, fully paid extra provisions for cases
of miscarriage and stillbirth and extended special leave for victims of domestic violence, no proof required.
Outside of gender equality, BATA is addressing other areas as well. The business is represented by around 25 different nationalities who speak over 15 different languages. More than half of the Australian Senior Leadership Team are non-Australian and represent diverse geographical footprints and have experience working outside Australia for at least five years, and more than half of the members of the extended leadership team are non-Australians or dual citizens.
For the first time, BATA made the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation for 2022-2023 – the
only tobacco company on the list – and was named Best Place to Work 2022. BATA’s strength lies with its workforce, and that’s the key driver behind the company doubling-down on its commitment to diversity
and inclusion. Great people and an engaging culture are key to BATA’s success, and as the organization continues to amp up investment in its employees.

Bold, fast, empowered, diverse, responsible – these are the ethos that underpin British American Tobacco,
a leading multi-category consumer goods business. They come together to live the company’s vision –
to build A Better Tomorrow – and is the thread that runs through everything BAT Australia (BATA) does,
and how they do it.
Founded in 1902, BAT is a truly global company. It employs more than 53,000 people worldwide – around 400 in the Australian business across trade offices in every state – operates in over 180 markets and has factories in more than 40 countries. With a portfolio comprised of combustible tobacco products, such as cigarettes, alongside a range of non-combustible products including new categories of potentially reduced-risk products, the business covers over 150 million consumers and 11 million retail points of sale, with a balanced presence in both high-growth emerging markets and already developed markets.
