THE AUSTRALIAN HR AWARDS has become one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in the HR profession’s calendar – but their annual iteration promises to be extra special. After two years of being hosted virtually, the Australian HR Awards are finally making their long-awaited return as an in-person event, with the best and brightest of Australia’s HR profession set to gather at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney on 9 September for the live gala. The event will see the country’s leading HR professionals, teams and employers recognised for their achievements throughout the past 12 months.

Nominations All HR Industry professionals had the opportunity to recognise the best in the HR Industry by submitting one or more nominations via the online portal. Individuals and organisations were also able to nominate themselves. Nominations focused on initiatives introduced and achievements from the past 12 months.
Excellence Awardee Selected Nominations were then reviewed and shortlisted to identify the Excellence Awardees, which were announced in June 2022. Excellence awardees were notified via email and announced online.
Judging The Insurance Business Awards team will send completed excellence awardee submissions to an independent panel of judges, comprising insurance industry leaders and senior representatives. Judges will be well known and well respected within the industry and their judgment will be impartial, balanced, incisive and fair. Any judge with a conflict of interest in a particular category will recuse themselves from judging that category. Judges will review the excellence awardee submissions and allocate a score for each excellence awardee. The excellence awardee with the highest score in each category once the judging process has been completed will be named the winner.
Winners Those selected as Excellence Awardees had their nomination submissions forwarded to an independent judging panel, who then score each submission according to the criteria, using a simple points system. Scores are then aggregated to produce a single winner in each category. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday, 9 September at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney, and then published online.
