Gert-Jan de Graaff was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Brisbane Airport Corporation in June 2018.
Current board appointments include the position of Director on the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific Regional Board in April 2020 and Director on the Australian Airports Association Board in December 2020.
Gert-Jan has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership roles at major airports around the world. He started his career in airport management in 1995 at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands where he had a number of roles. These included management positions in the commercial, finance and strategic departments. In 2005 Gert-Jan was appointed as Managing Director of ASDC AB, the company that manages and develops the commercial activities in the terminals of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sweden. Between 2007 and 2012, Gert-Jan held senior executive roles at Brisbane Airport Corporation, including General Manager Commercial Services and General Manager Strategic Planning & Development. Prior to his return to Brisbane Airport in 2018, Gert-Jan led the bid for Galeão/Rio de Janeiro Airport in Brazil on behalf of Royal Schiphol Group, and his most recent position was as President and CEO of JFKIAT LLC, the private operators of Terminal 4 at John F Kennedy International Airport since 2014.
Previous board appointments include the position of Chairman of Airport Coordination Netherlands and board memberships at Airports Council International North America (WBP), Air Cargo Netherlands, Cargonaut BV and several tourism attraction agencies.

Jane Dionysius has a wealth of experience in human resources, with over 13 years of expertise in the areas of performance and leadership development. She joined BAC in January 2011 and has held various management roles within the organisation. Currently, she is leading BAC’s human resource function, which includes payroll, learning and development, performance management, recruitment and culture.
Prior to joining BAC, Jane worked as a consultant and delivered a range of services across both the public and private sectors. Her experience has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead BAC’s human resource function effectively.
In addition to her professional career, Jane is also an active member of her community. She has experience working on the boards of not-for-profit charities. Jane holds a bachelor of business management degree majoring in human resources from the University of Queensland.
Overall, Jane’s extensive experience in human resources and her dedication to making a difference in her community make her a valuable asset to BAC and a respected member of the broader professional community.

The Lakes College Culinary Club (TLCCC) started with a team of 12 students and has now expanded to over 30 members, showcasing its continued success through participation in college events and even catering for local community organisations. This program not only imparts valuable culinary skills but also teaches the significance of community service, fosters practical abilities and cultivates a professional work ethic.
Spanning ages 11 to 18, the Culinary Club challenges students to create elaborate six-course degustation dinners and manage large-scale catering for college gatherings. Chloe, a Year 7 student, praises the program for imparting essential life skills in an enjoyable way among friends. Likewise, Emily values the connections she forms despite the program’s demanding pace.
Under the guidance of Chef Joel, TLCCC contributes to the college’s ethos and the students’ personal growth. The program’s commitment to local ingredients and culinary adventures is evident as it expands to include barista training and Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. The program seamlessly merges science, art and food technology, promoting discipline and shared responsibility. TLCCC embodies a commitment to service, community engagement and student leadership, cementing its unique character and contribution to The Lakes College.
