EXCELLENCE AWARDEE:
Rob Gialloreto is certified as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources and has nearly 20 years' experience leading small- to medium-sized organizations. With a leadership style that’s best characterized by authenticity and heart, Rob is currently President & CEO of Consumer Protection BC – a regulator charged with administering BC’s consumer protection laws, as delegated by the Provincial Government.
Trade Risk has a strong focus on tech, and relies heavily on systems and automations to manage a large number of clients without compromising on the quality of their service or advice.
Although based in Brisbane, their clients span the entire country, with clients in all states and territories of Australia.
The brokerage remains proudly 100% family owned, and is still led by the founder, Shane Moore.
In 2021 Trade Risk were named Corporate Authorised Representative of the Year by Community Broker Network, and Small Broking Company of the Year by ANZIIF.

Last year and under Rob’s leadership, Consumer Protection BC responded to nearly 11,000 consumer inquiries, issued 7,000 business licences and helped secure $506,000 in consumer restitution.
“We all work here because we are driven by the simple mandate of helping consumers. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a skilled and passionate group of people,” says Rob.
Prior, Rob was President & CEO of Tourism Victoria (2008 to 2013) and Travel Alberta International (2003 to 2008), and held senior positions at the City of Calgary, Red River College, Manitoba Moose Hockey Club Inc., the Cornwall Aces Hockey Club and the Ottawa Rough Riders Football Club.
