Lorna’s journey with Securiguard commenced in 1993, and her unwavering dedication has been a cornerstone of the company’s success. Her leadership extends over diverse departments, including people and culture, health & safety, quality assurance, and branding & marketing. She also takes on the responsibility of overseeing Securiguard’s commitment to their Triple Bottom Line: people, planet, and profit.
Lorna possesses extensive experience in union negotiations, labour relations, strategic talent acquisition, and health and safety protocols, ensuring that Securiguard maintains the highest standards of employee well-being and is recognized in the industry as an employer of choice. Lorna stands as a beacon of organizational change, acknowledged across the industry for her dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Taylor Walters has been Securiguard’s Indigenous Employment & Training Coordinator since she joined the team in 2021. She is a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and facilitates Securiguard’s Indigenous employment & training program, actively working to create employment opportunities and eliminate barriers in the security industry.
In her role, she not only sponsors security training and licensing but also implements a comprehensive outreach, recruitment, and training framework to ensure the program’s success. Taylor is a proud member of the 'Namgis First Nation from Alert Bay, BC, and holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Victoria.
Furthermore, Taylor collaborates closely with Securiguard’s training department to develop specialized training programs, including Indigenous cultural awareness training, and leads Securiguard’s diversity & inclusion committee.

Securiguard has been at the forefront of asset protection for almost 50 years, with expertise in deploying security and safety personnel in a variety of industries including retail, property management, aviation, marine, government, educational, and industrial/resource projects, and the largest and most highly accredited K-9 detection and screening division in Canada. Securiguard’s 4000+ strong security and safety professionals across Canada provide people with a feeling of safety by offering a comprehensive selection of security services.
Securiguard knows that safety starts from within and have prioritized creating a workplace where their team members feel supported, included, and valued by infusing their values of respect, empathy, accountability, courtesy, and honesty into all facets of the organization. They developed a diversity & inclusion strategy to enhance diversity by actively recruiting women, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and Indigenous peoples. They are proud to have built 21 Indigenous partnerships throughout Canada. Securiguard established an Indigenous employment & training program, aimed at creating employment opportunities within the organization for Indigenous Peoples and breaking potential barriers for entry into the security industry by sponsoring the security training, certification, and licensing process.
