Most Effective Recruitment Strategy
It’s hard to believe it’s been 11 years since we first launched the Canadian HR Awards. Back in 2013, some of the top trends concerning HR were the global war for talent, increasing leadership capability, employee engagement, change management and succession planning. Of course, many of those are still priorities for HR departments across the country. But in other ways, so much has changed — especially after the COVID pandemic threw human resources into the spotlight with the hyper focus on workplace health and safety and the massive rise of work from home, while the rise of generative AI has further challenged the industry in transforming roles while highlighting the importance of ethics and skills. As one Canadian HR leader said early in 2024, it’s all about agility. “Looking forward, I think we have to learn to be agile, adaptable, and really partner with the business and stay close to the business as we're evolving, because I don't remember this level of change in my career.” Through it all, HR professionals and leaders across Canada have demonstrated just what it takes to be successful at people management. So, here we are once again, celebrating excellence in the HR profession with the Canadian HR Awards. This is the platform on which HR professionals, teams, leaders and employers can be recognized for their significant work and achievements. Showcasing the crowning achievements, strong leadership, and enviable innovation of HR’s best, brightest, and boldest, the event recognizes individuals and teams in 24 prestigious categories. The team at HRD Canada and Canadian HR Reporter is extremely proud to be hosting the Canadian HR Awards for 2024, as Canada’s leading media resources for HR professionals, delivering essential news, insights and analysis to you each week. We want to thank the panel of judges who contributed their time and considerable knowledge to the judging process. With hundreds of high-calibre nominations from Canada’s best employers and individuals, the competition was very strong. Congratulations and good luck to all the excellence awardees. Finally, we would like to thank all our sponsors whose generous support of these awards is always appreciated.
