EXCELLENCE AWARDEE:
Another point of pride for Tarentaal is the pivotal role she played in the development and introduction of the ‘Family Violence is not OK’ e-learning programme. This training programme aims to equip team members with the knowledge they need to understand family violence, identify its signs, and provide victims with resources and support to get help. Although initially only available to senior leaders, TWG wanted all 12,000 staff members to access and learn from this life-changing initiative. Tarentaal reached this goal by adjusting narratives and delivery methods, developing accessible content for a diverse employee base, and accounting for a wide breadth of language and digital literacy levels. Tarentaal also applied her emotional intelligence and empathy to each stage of the process, which elevated the delivery of this learning initiative and heavily contributed to its success. This effort proved so successful that the Women’s Refuge has even introduced it to their organisation.
